My sacrifice, my Holy Mass is now only beginning. From the Lord´s altar.
I am going to the altar of my work... Everywhere I have to remember to continue in the sacrifice of the altar.
In the Holy Eucharist, Jesus is present in his divine poverty. His divinity is enshrouded here, but also his humanity. The Word is silenced in the Holy Eucharist. Behold, the utmost humiliation of Christ, because the degree of God´s gifts is humbleness.
Jesus, now I can see how in the Holy Eucharist you are completing your self sacrifice. And I also know, how humbly you are giving yourself, you divine King, to all priests...
God is the continual Holy Communion for a soul that fulfills God´s will.
Soul of Christ, Sanctify Me
Divine soul, enter into my pitiful heart, take possession of all its powers and abilities, and sanctify it by your grace. Sanctify my mind so it will think only about you. Sanctify my will to unite with yours, one in joy and sorrow, to be willing to always fulfill your orders. Sanctify my freedom so it will never be dishonoured by slavish chains of sin and never choose fruitless delights of vanishing life instead of you. Sanctify my body and make it a living holy tabernacle, where you yourself would like to dwell. Sanctify my senses and make them obedient servants of my soul and the instruments of sanctification for others. Sanctify my eyes to be closed to the futilities of sin and always have a longing to lie only on your holy cross and in the tabernacle of your love. Sanctify my tongue so that I like speaking about and praising only you, and enthusiastically extol your perfection and love. Sanctify my taste, do not allow me to give myself up to sinful delicacies, but to desire for and experience the sweetness of mortification. Sanctify my ears and close them to any unnecessary conversation, in order to be open only to the voice of your wisdom and love.
